"Marriage is not about showing off your relatives how rich you are!"
This was the topic of discussion on Radio One 93.4 FM this morning. I completely agree with this thought. So did 90% of the Bangaloreans who had tuned into the FM this morning.
I don't believe that marriage is an institution, as many say. I believe its all about commitment and most of all adjusting with yourself first ,and then with your new family. So the simpler you keep the celebration of your union, the more happier you will be. That's what I believe :)
If you can afford a big fat wedding, go right ahead. No one's stopping you anyway. But for me, I would really love to keep it low-key. Just exchange wows and rings... that's as simple as it can get. And then treat the people who really mean a lot in your life. Raise a toast, shake a leg, make merry and say hurrrrrray we're one now!
Hmmm... the thought of marriage is so lovely. Well, will have to wait and see what's in store for me a couple of years down the lane :-/
