Everyone is a mess! Everywhere is a mess!
This episode turned out to be a bigger mess than I had imagined. Utter chaos over the "word" spreading like wild fire, with no control. The fallacy seemed more than exaggerated. The word was out, damage was done, and we were mute spectators of the whole epic. Damage control was out of question. Specially when the word gets onto the hands of a woman. And mind you, it was not just any woman, she was quiet a notorious one. Well, now comes the question, was the mindless woman responsible for it, or the mindful woman who used the opportunity to her advantage to ink the Cockalorum.
The situation could have been better solved within the four walls of a house, but here comes the worse twist. A priest was roped into it to add a religious touch by way of 'God's word', and he seemed of no help but was more of the damage-doer. The fuel to the fire, the weed in the fields, a spineless nutcase who intensified the already bad situation, instead of steering it away from disaster, and bringing in peace.
Bible quotes "Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue, keeps himself out of trouble." That is totally my policy. Don't barge in where you are not invited. I always enjoy being the quiet listener or observer, never really put myself up there to be humiliated or embarrassed. This is my introvert part which always pulls me back in the new waters. But in my waters, I'm a happy swimmer, lashing my fin at anyone who comes my way. But be on guard, waters get troubled and pull you into them without warning.
Fallacy as I say, it sure was. But, the time has to now prove it so. Funny and unreal it seemed to me. How could something like this be swayed around in the air for anyone and everyone to catch attention and question. It could be jealousy, it could be denial, it could be hatred or even love. It seemed strange to me why parents would spread false allegations against their little princess' prince charming. Then the mystery unfolds through stories, letters, emails, conversation, flashback, experience and struggle. It is saddening to hear such fallacy, but it is time to tackle the cause and have such fallacies controlled and contained. It is nothing less than an epidemic, because it was surprising to hear about it from someone who is kilometers and kilometers away from all that was happening.
