A year, a 2012 gone by safe and happy. Many things to count for, many blessings and happiness to remember for life. A well rewarded year for all the wait and hard-work.
After a great escape comes a greater victory. A victory story, strong and brave enough to be etched into the history books as a remarkable landmark. A story of determined young man swimming across the Pacific Ocean to find his bride, his partner, his companion for life.
Every year that has gone by was perfect in its own way. But none as picture perfect as 2012 to me and my better half. The hurdles, the barricades, the barb wires, the icing, the sweetness, the bitterness - everything made it very special for the two special souls destined to meet. None has any clues of how many he's and she's got bitten and beaten in the race, but only The Destined he and she would make it to the very end.
Many a times we often tend to believe that richness is in a man's bank account. But now it is that we realize that richness is in the respect you give to your partner, to your parents, to the elders and to all those special people who stand by you during those days of high tide. These were the only people who were honored by us to join in our biggest celebration. A celebration of grandeur and grace!
So here's the reason I've been missing in action on my blog since July.
Like my cousin said, this affair was like a "I came, I saw, I
conquered!" affair. I came - in June, I saw - in July, I conquered - in
October.....says Josh. She decides to enter along with him, into a new world.
A world, new not just to her, but also to him. A brand new Wonderland
to build by heart, by soul and by wisdom. After being engaged for
45days, the D-Day finally arrived on 29th October, 2012. A day she's
been longing for eagerly just like him.
A thousand thoughts scampering
through their heads. A few nervous knuckles cracking all day long. A
hundred arrangements to be overseen to perfection. And all it took was
just a minute to tie the knot joining the two as one. Month long
preparations, loads of cash flushed in, relatives and friends joined in
to lend a helping hand, invitations mailed, relatives
accommodated....and all that was left of this grand gala were a few precious "Smile....Camera....Pose" moments :)
And two months down the lane since the D-Day, I am content, and happy and blessed by the choices I made in my life. On my way, I've earned love, friends, family, trust and most importantly God's blessings to be what I am, and to get what I deserve - nothing more, nothing less, just perfect!
Happy New Year 2013
